It is very important to add context to your audience for your content so that they can actually use your data. Context definition is a circumstance, fact, and definition that surrounds the particular event, situation, or information that it means.
I learned this difficult journey a few years ago when I was leading my first workshop. I started training and realized that half of the audience did not know what I was talking about, eyes began to paint. There was no context for the content I presented. I spent all my breaks and taught them the definitions they need to make my information more useful and more relevant. It was tired and these people flooded the information.
By providing your audience with the context of your information, which is content, it's really user-friendly. You want people to use their data or become really useless as a product. Later, they may buy more products from you, but they will not be able to learn from you unless they have been able to use the first product.
The context is derived from the Latin "context", meaning that they will be linked to provide a structure or framework for which your information is suspended. Provide background information for the content. Think about connecting points to your audience rather than a bunch of disconnected information.
It's important to note that people can easily get bored, distracted, and easily discouraged. You need to get your audience on the same page, so it's the basis for using the information product. This reduces boredom and worry about the first sign that you do not know what you are talking about.
Your job is to help people use your content and engage them. You need to step out of your own mind, from your own experience, and look at information from a new person's eyes to your information, from a novice's point of view.
It's a good practice when you start creating your product, describe all the definitions, facts, circumstances, and frameworks surrounding your information that someone as a journalist really needs it.
